For GHS chemical compliance labels, the Epson ColorWorks series is the recommended choice. The C4000, C6000, C6500, and C8000 all use UltraChrome DL pigment inks that are BS-5609 certified — the international standard requiring labels to withstand seawater immersion and abrasion. For standard 4-inch GHS labels, the CW-C4000 or CW-C6000 are appropriate. For wide-format drum, IBC, or pallet GHS labels exceeding 4 inches, the CW-C6500 (8.34-inch print width) is the correct choice. For the highest-volume GHS production environments, the CW-C8000 delivers 12 ips throughput.

The CL6NX Plus has a 6.58-inch print width at 203 or 305 dpi, supports linerless label printing, and handles 600m ribbon rolls. Both feature SATO AEP standalone PC-free printing and field-upgradeable UHF RFID.
